Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO), the South Korean state-run utility company, said on Thursday it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with LS Electric Co. to establish a collaborative model for predictive diagnostics of power facilities.
The agreement was signed at the BIXPO 2024 event at the Kim Daejung Convention Center in Gwangju on the previous day.
The two companies plan to develop integrated solutions, which combine KEPCO's predictive diagnostics technology for power equipment SEDA with LS Electric's CMS predictive diagnostics system.
SEDA is a system that analyzes power facility data to diagnose equipment conditions in real-time, preventing malfunctions.
According to KEPCO, SEDA has proven its reliability and performance since it was developed and deployed in the field in 2021.
LS Electric's CMS is a system that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to monitor equipment in real-time, identifying abnormalities and detecting faults.
