Lunit, a South Korean cancer diagnostics AI company, announced on Wednesday that it solely participates in a chest X-ray reading workflow improvement project led by Singapore's National Healthcare Group (NHG).
According to Lunit, Singapore's public healthcare services are divided among three healthcare institutions, with NHG responsible for the central and northern regions of Singapore.
The purpose of this project is to verify the effectiveness of using AI in improving the chest X-ray reading process and the efficiency of medical resource allocation at NHG-affiliated medical institutions.
Lunit plans to install its chest X-ray AI image analysis solution Lunit Insight CXR at primary care institutions under NHG to enhance the efficiency of the reading system.
NHG plans to conduct the project until August next year and, if the value of AI utilization is proven, will propose to the Singaporean government to improve the image reading protocols for public hospitals.
