South Korea's generative AI startup Liner announced on Thursday that it launched a beta service of Academic Mode AI Search, which provides answers based on research papers and journals.
Users can obtain answers by selecting "Academic Mode" in Liner's AI agent service Liner AI Workspace and entering their questions.
Liner explained that it integrates an AI Paper Search Service API, which provides information from over 200 million academic papers, to deliver reliable sources and answers.
In Academic Mode, users can view the links, authors, citation counts, and publication years of the papers used in the answers.
Liner plans to run the beta service in about 220 countries for approximately three months and then determine the direction for further development based on user data and feedback.
According to the company, 90% of its paid subscribers are university students, master's and doctoral students, researchers, and professionals.
