Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Monday that it held an Odyssey gaming monitor experience event with the T1, the top-tier League of Legends team, in Chengdu, China, the previous day.
Around 150 attended the event, including local gaming influencers, media, and Odyssey fans, alongside the T1 team. They engaged in Q&A sessions with the T1 players, participated in event matches with Odyssey fans, and experienced the Odyssey gaming monitors firsthand.
"This event with passionate Chinese Odyssey fans was a meaningful opportunity, and I'm so proud to experience Samsung's latest gaming monitor, the Odyssey, with top performance," Lee Sang-hyeok, well-known as Faker, a professional gamer partnered with Samsung said.
Samsung Electronics' Chinese subsidiary recently launched the 2024 model gaming monitor, the Odyssey G50D (32/27 inches), featuring a 180 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time (gray to gray), aiming to capture the Chinese gaming market.
