South Korea's Nexen Tire Corp. announced on Wednesday that it partnered with US Major League Baseball (MLB) team San Diego Padres.
The Padres, founded in 1969, are an MLB team based in San Diego, California, and compete in the National League West.
The club is well-known among South Korean baseball fans as South Korea's Ha-Seong Kim is a Padres player.
With this partnership, Nexen Tire plans to enhance its brand recognition in North America by exposing its brand through the home plate, outfield banners, and the mound at Petco Park.
The company plans to showcase its EV tires through commercials during game broadcasts to promote its brand value.
Various marketing activities, including dealer and local Korean community events.
Nexen Tire engages in sports marketing activities, sponsoring teams such as the Anaheim Ducks, Chicago Blackhawks, and New York Rangers in the National Hockey League to leverage National Basketball Association (NBA) and MLB games to promote its brand.
