Hyundai Motor unveils Genesis G90 Black

Hyundai Motor Co. announced on Thursday that its premium brand Genesis launched the Genesis G90 Black, the highest trim of its premium brand of Genesis's flagship sedan, the G90.

The G90 Black embodies Genesis's design philosophy "Athletic Elegance," featuring various shades of black throughout its exterior and interior.

The exterior of the G90 Black is finished in Vik Black, a color inspired by the basalt sand beaches of the Vik region in Iceland, as Genesis explains.

The brand's signature dual-mesh crest grille is filled in solid black, and the new design wheels are also unified in black.

Inside, the steering wheel of the G90 Black is equipped with a dark gray emblem to match the exterior, and black real aluminum is applied to the electronic shift dial and integrated controller.

G90 Black's interior features many recycled and natural materials made through eco-friendly processes.

The deep black of the seat leather is achieved using carbon black extracted from discarded tires, with a natural softener made from the oleic acid contained in flax seeds and a rapeseed oil coating.

The headrest bag and console are made from scraps of leather that would otherwise be discarded.
