South Korea’s game developer and publisher WeMade Co. announced on Wednesday that it partnered with the Dubai International Financial Center's (DIFC) Innovation Hub.
DIFC is a special international financial zone in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It has own administrative, judicial, and supervisory institutions. Established within DIFC by the Dubai government, the Innovation Hub aims to attract global companies specializing in blockchain, gaming, and artificial intelligence (AI).
In addition, the company will create a $100 million investment fund to support the global Web3 game industry and nurture WEMIX onboarding companies.
WeMade is also in the process of applying to register WEMIX as an accredited cryptocurrency with the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). So far, the cryptocurrencies accredited by DFSA include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, and Ton, making a total of five.
