South Korea's DGB Financial Group announced on Monday it signed a business agreement with the global IT company FPT Software at the FPT Group headquarters in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Through this agreement, the two companies will collaborate on global expansion and commercialization of new businesses as global strategic partners. They will also cooperate in various fields, including fostering IT talent in the financial sector.
This marks the first time that DGB Financial Group has signed a business agreement with a foreign company, and the partnership with an IT company suggests its commitment to crossing boundaries in finance through digital transformation.
Vietnam-based FPT Software is the country's leading ICT company with around 30,000 employees worldwide, doing business in 30 countries.
