Hyundai Transys' car seats rank in top 3 by US market survey

A leading US consumer satisfaction survey has ranked car seats made by South Korea’s Hyundai Transys in the top three for the fourth consecutive year.

Hyundai Transys on Monday said its seats ranked second both in the general brand passenger car and sport utility vehicle (SUV) categories in this year’s US Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study of J.D. Power, an American auto rating company. By vehicle class, Hyundai Transys was runner-up in compact cars (Kia Rio) and tied for No. 2 in mid-size SUVs (Kia Sorento).

The Hyundai Motor Group affiliate supplies car seats to Hyundai Motor Co., Kia Corp., Genesis Motors, and American electric vehicle makers Rivian and Lucid, with 33 business establishments in 11 countries.

“Since its integrated launch as Hyundai Transys in 2019, the company is the only domestic corporation to make this survey’s top three very year from 2020 to this year,” a Hyundai Transys source said.
