South Korean generative AI startup Wrtn Technologies unveiled Wrtn Japan, its Japanese version generative AI platform, during the "Generative AI Asia 2023 Tokyo" conference held on Apr. 20 in Japan. This marks the first overseas expansion for the domestic generative AI startup.
This is because they believe that the Japanese language model's speed of development and market potential can lead to the formation of a generative AI ecosystem in Japan within a short period of time. Wrtn also aims to use Japan, a non-English speaking country, as a stepping stone for global market expansion.
Next month, Wrtn is planning to hold the "Generative AI Asia 2023 Conference Seoul," which will bring together global generative AI companies in Seoul.
"Since becoming the first Korean generative AI application service provider, we currently have 200,000 business users on our platform," Wrtn CEO Lee Se-young said. "We aim to broaden the non-English speaking AI ecosystem through our platform and our two main growth strategies are transitioning into a platform company and global expansion."
