Hankook Tire's iON evo tops Auto Bild's electric car tire test

Korean tire manufacturer Hankook Tire & Technology announced on Friday that its electric vehicle-dedicated high-performance tire, the iON evo, has been ranked first in a tire test conducted by the German automotive magazine, Auto Bild.

The test evaluated the performance of three global high-performance tire brands of 245/45R19 size, including the iON evo, on a Tesla Model S in eight categories, including dry braking, wet braking, rolling resistance and wet handling, to assess how well the tire supports electric vehicle performance.

Hankook Tire reported that the iON evo received high evaluations and ranked first in four categories, including dry braking, wet braking, rolling resistance and wet handling.

"Hankook Tire's iON evo demonstrated a balanced performance that satisfied both the driving pleasure and safety of high-performance electric vehicles," the magazine commented.
