Doosan Robotics Inc., a South Korean company affiliated with the Doosan Group, announced on Tuesday that it had signed an MOU with Guangxi Pinge, a system integration firm located in the Guangxi Autonomous Region of China, to collaborate on the development and sale of medical solutions utilizing collaborative robots.
Under the terms of this new agreement, the two companies will introduce a medical solution that can simultaneously test various sample types by modularizing the entire process, including sample homogenization, media preparation, microbial culture, microbial inoculation, detection and discrimination.
Sample input, result output and real-time monitoring of experiment information are also possible.
In addition to developing medical solutions, the two firms plan to continue their joint R&D and investment efforts to identify customers in China and other international markets.
"The solutions are expected to be used in a range of business areas that require microbial testing, such as the food and beverage and cosmetics industries, as well as healthcare," said a representative of Doosan Robotics.
