Hyundai L&C, an interior solutions provider under the Hyundai Department Store Co. Group in South Korea, announced on Monday the launch of its high-end engineered stone collection, the Opimo Collection, aimed at the premium construction materials market.
The Opimo Collection boasts a unique pattern design and large-size dimensions. The collection features layered patterns, a characteristic of natural quartzite stone that is challenging to replicate in engineered stones.
Compared to the existing product line, the item sizes have been increased by 28%, improving their usability.
"The layered texture of Opimo is so perfect that it is challenging to distinguish it from natural stone with the naked eye," said Lee Jae-gak, the head of Hyundai L&C's interior stone business unit.
He also noted that after displaying Opimo in January this year at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, North America's largest trade show of this kind, most of the initial quantities of pilot production were sold out in the United States.
Hyundai L&C intends to accelerate its expansion into the premium construction materials market by showcasing kitchen furniture and art walls to which Opimo is applied at Gallery Q in Seoul's Gangnam from the end of February.
