Daesang Wellife signs contract with RexSoft for healthcare platform

South Korea's Daesang Wellife Corp. has inked a 2 billion won ($1.5 million) investment contract with local healthcare data science company RexSoft to co-develop a bespoke healthcare platform.

The deal was signed on Tuesday, with attendees including Daesang Wellife CEO Seo Hoon-gyo, RexSoft CEO Won Sung-ho, as well as executives and employees from both companies.

The two firms plan to foster a close partnership in the healthcare platform business, with the latest investment marking the beginning of their collaboration.

Daesang Wellife and RexSoft will work together to develop an application for personal disease prediction and healthcare solutions. RexSoft will analyze individual health records and offer disease prediction and management services.

The customized health management platform, which is expected to launch in the first half of 2023, will utilize health insurance corporation examination data and health-related surveys to provide a service that predicts the likelihood of disease occurrence and personal lifespan.

"We intend to uphold our corporate philosophy of accompanying our customers on their journey to a healthy life through the creation of a new platform with RexSoft," said an official of Daesang Wellife.
