"Won Soju" launched by a South Korean rapper Jay Park will be exported to the United States.
Liquor company Won Spirits said on Thursday that it has completed export procedures for its Won Soju, Won Soju Spirit, and Won Soju Classic to the US market.
Won Spirits plans to introduce its soju products in the US, starting with New York in the first half of this year.
The company set 2023 as the first year of export and began moving into other overseas markets.
The company is discussing ways to export its soju products to countries like China, Japan, Mongolia, Vietnam, and Singapore, and has completed trademark registration in the UK, the EU, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand.
"We started exporting our soju within a year of launch. We will do our best to show the charm of our traditional liquor," said Jay Park, CEO of Won Spirits.
