Tmap Mobility said on Monday that it has signed an agreement for the electric vehicle charging business with Shinsegae I&C, an IT service affiliate of the Shinsegae Group.
Under the terms of the agreement, Tmap plans to provide real-time information on the detailed location and usage of chargers through its navigation app Tmap, as well as directions to charging stations and payment.
Shinsegae I&C, which provides the electric vehicle charging service "Spharos EV," plans to run the system based on Tmap big data, such as the number of destination searches and the number of vehicles given directions.
"We will grow into a differentiated platform for electric vehicle users based on Tmap Auto installed in myriad vehicles," said Tmap Mobility CEO Lee Jong-ho.
"We will focus more on our customers and make relentless efforts to provide innovative and differentiated charging experiences to customers who use charging services in all areas, including Spharos EV's unique technology, platform, and infrastructure," said Shinsegae I&C CEO Hyung Tae-jun.
