LG Electronics Inc.'s OLED evo was selected as the best product by Japan's most well-known audio and video publications.

The South Korean company said on Thursday that its OLED evo has recently received the highest award (Gold Prize) in the OLED TV category for 50-60 inches and 45 inches or below at the Visual Grand Prix 2023 Awards hosted by Ongen Shutpan, a Japanese magazine specializing in audio and video products. It also won the Critics' Special Award in the video category.

The VGP Award is an honor granted by a jury composed of audio/video experts and electronic store dealers who directly deal with customers after carefully reviewing technological sophistication and customer satisfaction levels.

"It is a premium TV that allows you to properly enjoy the detailed and three-dimensional images that 4K OLED TVs offer. Excellent convenience features such as 4 HDMI 2.1 ports are also an advantage in addition to the highest level of visual beauty based on overwhelming contrast ratio and black expression," VGP commented.

LG OLED evo was recently selected as the best product in the 50-inch or below OLED TV category at the Best Buy 2022 Winter Awards by HiVi, one of Japan's most prestigious audio/video media outlets, and also won a silver award at HiVi Grand Prix 2022.

LG Electronics explained that the world's smallest 42-inch LG OLED evo was consistently selected as the best product in Japan, a premium TV market where consumers' preference for OLED TVs is high, beating local Japanese manufacturers, indicating that its OLED technology leadership was highly appreciated by local TV viewers.
