LAS VEGAS – South Korean media platform startup Muzlive Inc. showcased KiTs of K-pop girl group Blackpink, singer-songwriter Jason Mraz and other global musicians at CES 2023, the world's largest tech show in Las Vegas.

A KiT, which stands for "keep in touch," is a physical music album that plays on smart devices. It is gaining popularity with the young generation as the album is convenient for streaming and includes other products like a musician's photos, postcards, music videos and access to fan communities.

Muzlive's KiT albums are streamed in 211 countries and have sold 5 million units worldwide. The albums play through an application by connecting the product's switch and a smart device’s speaker. The Korean startup is aiming to replace CDs with KiT albums in the global music market.

The number of KiT streaming is reflected in the music charts of Korea and overseas, such as the UK, Australia and Germany, Muzlive said.
