Hanwha Techwin, a South Korean company specializing in video surveillance solutions, said on Thursday that it held a showcase event at its 63 Convention Center in Seoul the previous day and introduced a smart parking solution and a dedicated apartment management app "Mopl."
The smart parking solution consists of a smart parking platform, a parking control system, and a parking guidance and management system.
The company plans to launch the solution targeting the collective housing market first in consideration of the congested apartment parking situation in Korea.
Then, it plans to gradually increase the range of its platform services and expand its application to the commercial market.
"We plan to enter the smart parking business in earnest by utilizing differentiated parking systems and platforms based on the vision and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies accumulated through our video surveillance business," a Hanwha Techwin official said.
