Naver Corp.'s startup nurturing organization D2SF has newly invested in PranaQ, a US sleep tech startup. This is the 100th investment since the company launched D2SF in May 2015 and started investing in promising ventures.
According to infotech industry sources on Wednesday, Naver D2SF recently took part in PranaQ as a seed investor.
It is reported that D2SF and a number of domestic and international venture capitalists invested a total of $3 million. Established in July last year, PranaQ is a company that develops sleep quality measurement algorithms.
It has a technology that measures blood flow by beaming LED light on the skin to measure levels of oxygen saturation and heart rate variability.
The Durham-based company plans to diagnose and monitor sleep apnea, which causes health risks such as heart attack, high blood pressure, and diabetes, through a wearable device based on this technology.
