LS Mtron, the heavy machinery and advanced parts-making unit of South Korea's LS Group, on Monday said it completed the LS Mtron Parts and Solution Center, thus setting up a global logistics system to accelerate the growth of its tractor unit.
The center comprises four buildings spanning 8,910 square meters on a larger site in Wanju County, North Jeolla Province. To keep pace with its tractor business growth, the company also opened a parts center at the tractor plant.
LS Mtron plans to build its global parts business by streamlining the logistics system spanning its overseas subsidiaries in the US, Brazil and China.
After signing a joint venture contract with WoongjinMachinery in June, LS Mtron, through completion of the logistics center, is deemed to have set up a four-part system for agricultural machinery and parts along with tractors and engines.
"The importance of our parts unit is gradually rising in line with the accelerated growth of our tractor sales in the global agricultural machinery market," said LS Mtron CEO Shin Chai-ho.
"The Parts and Solutions Center will be our parts unit's hub for boosting our service system and satisfying our overseas tractor customers, while speeding up the overall growth of our tractor business," he added.
