Blockchain firm Neopin announced its strategy to strengthen its foothold in the global DeFi Market on Thursday with four keywords: Web 3.0, multichain, NFT and launchpad.

Neopin is the wholly owned subsidiary of Neoply, a company in charge of the blockchain within Neowiz Holdings Corp.

Neowiz is a mid-tier game publisher in South Korea.

The blockchain subsidiary provides DeFi services, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) features.

Neopin launched an app in January and released the web version last Monday.

The company incorporated the ‘Wall Connect’ function into the web service to strengthen its connection with Neopin Wallet, to allow users to manage their own keys.

Neopin aims to provide a one-stop service through which users can issue and exchange coins.

MULTICHAIN & NFT

Under the 2022 Neopin Strategy, Neopin will introduce multi-chain services that support multiple blockchains including Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Cosmos, and Polygon by next June, in addition to Ethereum, Kakao Corp.'s Klaytn, and Tron chains.

It will also provide an open platform in the fourth quarter where play-to-earn (P2E) and move-to-earn (M2E) projects can easily come onboard Neopin.

The company will incorporate the launchpad feature for staking P2E tokens so that all developers will have to worry about is game development.

Neopin’s parent company Neoply has participated in the Klaytn Governance Council and operated a virtual asset wallet service named nBlocks.

It also has obtained the Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).

A day prior, another South Korean game developer Wemade Co. announced it is poised to open mainnet Wemix 3.0, after a successful test net launch this month.

Wemade is best known for the Legend of Mir series of MMORPGs.

Wemix 3.0 is supported by 40 decentralized nodes to handle the public chain for games, DeFi protocol and other blockchain services.
