HYBE Co., the K-pop label best known for BTS, signed an agreement with Walt Disney Company in its first collaboration with an international content provider.
Disney+ will produce and distribute a total of five major titles worldwide, two of which will feature members of the septet.
The two companies released a joint statement Tuesday, which stated the collaboration is aimed at showcasing “creative excellence from South Korea’s music and entertainment industry.”
Three of the five special programs will be released ahead of the other two.
One of them is “BTS: Permission to Dance On Stage – LA.” The special is a 4K film of BTS’ live performance in Los Angeles Sofi Stadium in November 2021.
The concert was the first time in two years that the group was able to perform live.
Another show set for release is “In the Soop: Friendcation,” which follows a group of friends including V from BTS, Park Seo-jun from “Itaewon Class,” and “Parasite” star Choi Woo-shik as they embark on a surprise trip.
