Orion Capital Asia, established in 2013, is a Singapore based private debt investment manager with strong investment track record of over US$1 billion deployed in secured loan investments across Asia Pacific region. The platform was selected “Best of the Best Midcap Private Debt House” by South Korea’s pension funds and other major institutional investors in the Best Asset Managers by Korean Investors 2020 awards by The Korea Economic Daily. OMERS, the defined benefit pension plan for municipal employees in the Province of Ontario, Canada, is a significant shareholder in Orion Capital Asia.
[Speakers' Biography]
Mr. Nitish Agarwal (CEO and CIO) has more than 25 years of experience in Asian private debt market and has completed private debt investments of over US$5 billion across Asia Pacific. He founded Orion Capital Asia in 2013 in Singapore, and last year brought in OMERS (Canadian pension plan) as a significant shareholder. Prior to setting up the credit platform, Mr. Agarwal was Managing Director in Global Financing Solutions at Barclays Capital in Singapore. Earlier, he was head of the Asian telecom financing business for ING. He started his career with Bank of America.
