The National Pension Service (NPS) appointed risk management center head Seong-Tae Park as new head of investment strategy on Dec. 8, a week after his predecessor Soo-Cheol Lee offered to resign, according to the pension fund’s announcement.
Park joined the NPS in 1999 when the world’s No.3 pension scheme launched the Investment Management department. He had served as head of investment strategy team and risk management team at the NPS.
As for two other vacant executive positions, NPS said it would appoint new domestic equity head during this month, while considering picking head of domestic alternative investment among internal candidates within the year.
Meanwhile, Young-Chan Ko will act as risk management center head.
