Hyundai Motor Co. is offering a unique driving experience for its high-performance brand, N Line, in a metaverse world created on Zepeto.
Zepeto is a 3D avatar app service launched and operated by Naver Z Corp., a Naver Corp. affiliate that spearheads the tech giant’s augmented reality (AR) business. The platform has more than 220 million users from around 200 countries worldwide.
Hyundai Motor said on June 25 that its collaboration with Zepeto allows the platform’s users to drive the company’s Sonata N Line in Zepeto's downtown areas as well as other driving zones set up online.
Hyundai Motor added that it is the first company in the global auto industry to offer a metaverse driving experience on Zepeto. Hyundai said it will continue to offer unique metaverse experiences to Millennials and Generation Zers (MZers) around the world.

The automaker’s high-performance brand N Line, first announced in 2015, created its first model Hyundai i30 N Line in 2017. The company plans to expand its N Line offerings to a total of 18 models by 2022, with aims to become a major name in the high-performance segment like Mercedes-AMG, BMW M and Volkswagen R-Line.

“We will strengthen our corporate image as a brand that leads the development of cutting-edge technologies and expands customer experience into the virtual world, where MZers form the main group of users,” said a Hyundai Motor representative.
“Hyundai Motor will offer a wider selection of vehicles on Zepeto beyond the current Sonata N Line,” the representative added.
