AI device solution startup Sorcerics gets seed round

South Korea’s artificial intelligence (AI)  smart device solution startup Sorcerics, founded by former Google and Microsoft employees, announced on Feb. 21 that it has attracted seed funding from Mashup Ventures and Devsisters Ventures.

The amount of the investment was not disclosed.

The company has been developing Sorcerics Lens. It utilizes vision AI technology to understand the state of the space and the user.

Based on the information it gathers, it can adjust the room temperature or the brightness of the lights. It can also recommend clothes for the weather or detect if a crime or fire threatens your safety.

The CEO of Sorcerics Ryu Hyeon-Jong was the former leader of Google's Internet of Things (IoT) project.

Yoo Won-Seok, previously involved in the development of Google Search and Google Maps, joined as the CTO, and Kwon Kyung-Ah, who was at Microsoft involved as the COO.
