South Korea's heating systems manufacturer Kyung Dong Navien Co. announced on Thursday it shipped its first "Condensing Hydro Furnace" to the US market on Nov. 13.

The Condensing Hydro Furnace is a product that combines Kyung Dong Navien's world-renowned condensing technology with advanced hot water technology.

In North America, the primary method of heating is the furnace, which heats air using hot combustion exhaust and then distributes it indoors.

Unlike boilers that heat the floor with hot water, furnaces directly heat the air, which can lead to very dry conditions and significant indoor temperature variations, thereby reducing heating comfort.

Moreover, there is a risk of harmful gases entering the interior through the air due to incomplete combustion.

Kyung Dong Navien's Condensing Hydro Furnace is designed to address these issues. It first heats water and then uses it to warm the air, ensuring the indoor air is not dry.

The system provides stable heating by precisely controlling water temperature, achieving the desired indoor temperature.

It also enhances safety by separating the boiler and blower units, which prevents the inflow of harmful gases into the interior.

Additionally, the furnace features a low-vibration design to minimize noise, contributing to a more comfortable living environment. The integration of condensing technology also makes it energy efficient.

"With the launch of the Condensing Hydro Furnace, we have entered the main heating market in North America and have taken a significant step towards expanding our presence in the global heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) market," a Kyung Dong Navien source said.

"Beyond the Condensing Hydro Furnace, we aim to increase our market presence in the North American HVAC market by introducing a heat pump equipped with the latest inverter compressor technology."
