South Korea's Samsung Display Co. teams up with the gaming and entertainment company HYBE IM to showcase quantum dot-organic light-emitting diode (QD-OLED) and OLED display quality experiences at this year's Gamescom, Europe's largest trade show for video games.
The affiliate of Samsung Group revealed on Friday that it is conducting an event at the HYBE IM booth set up for the 2023 Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany, from Aug. 23-27.
Attendees can experience Dell and MSI's 34-inch monitors featuring Samsung's QD-OLED and OLED technology, as well as Samsung Electronics Co. 's latest laptop, the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra.

HYBE IM has installed QD-OLED monitors and OLED laptops within its booth for the promotion of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) "Dragon Blaze 2: Knights of Veda."
The 34-inch QD-OLED monitors from Dell and MSI have received the "DisplayHDR True Black 400" certification while the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra has obtained the "DisplayHDR True Black 500" certification, both from the US Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA).
High Dynamic Range (HDR) is an image representation technology that expands the range of brightness to make bright parts even brighter and dark parts even darker, creating a clearer image.
Samsung Display plans to continue collaboration with HYBE IM to provide opportunities for experiencing "Dragon Blaze 2: Knights of Veda" as an excellent gaming display at Gamescom and various other venues.
