Line Games Corporation, an affiliate of South Korea’s internet giant Naver Corp., announced on Tuesday the launch of Uncharted Waters Origin, a massively multiplayer role-playing game (MMORPG) that was developed jointly with Korean game company Motif and Japan's Koei Tecmo Games.
This new game reinterprets the classic games Uncharted Waters II and Uncharted Waters Gaiden with the latest graphics and modern sense. It was first released in Korea in August of last year.
The game has received critical acclaim in Korea, winning the highest number of awards for a single game at the 2022 Korea Game Awards ceremony, including the Grand Prize, Technical Creativity Award, Sound Effect, and Planning and Scenario.
Uncharted Waters Origin's global edition is now available and supports English, Japanese and Chinese (simplified and traditional). It can be played on mobile (iOS and Android) and PC (Floor and Steam) platforms.
