South Korea's F&B franchise Mom's Touch announced on Wednesday that it has opened its second store "K Chimaek" in Bangkok, Thailand.
Chimaek, a compound word of fried chicken and beer, has been a long-time popular snack for Korean people.
The opening of the second store in the country took just two months since the launch of the first in October.
The second location has 61 seats on a floor space of 184 square meters and is located on Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road, an up-and-coming office district in Bangkok.
Along with the chicken menu, Singha draft beer, a Thai beer brand, will be served.
Mom's Touch plans to build a differentiated brand image for young Thai office workers based on the popularity of Chimaek and plans to kick off eight additional stores by next year.
"Thai consumers are so influenced by Hallyu or Korean Wave and sensitive to Korean trends that they visit Korean restaurants to eat and share food featured on Korean dramas," said an official of Mom's Touch.
"We will advance into many more countries based on our experience in the country," he added.
The company also has an ambitious plan to open as many as 100 stores in the US by 2025. It has already entered the market and operates two locations in California.
