South Korean food giant CJ CheilJedang Corp. said on Tuesday it is operating a Korean food section within the Qatar World Cup’s fan zone, managed by Qatari leading grocery retailer Al Meera.

The food arm of Korean conglomerate CJ Group will supply its signature products, such as Bibigo roasted seaweed and seaweed crisps, Bibigo kimchi and Hetbahn Cupbahn, which is pre-cooked rice with soup or side dishes packaged in small bowls.

The packaged rice will be a convenient and healthy meal for soccer fans who use up a lot of energy at stadiums, CJ said.

The Korean food giant has launched a limited edition of Bibigo roasted seaweed, with a specially designed package featuring a soccer ball and goalpost on a purple-red background, the main colors of the Qatari national flag.

CJ also sells products of Bibigo, its flagship Korean food brand, at retail chains such as Al Meera, Monoprix and Carrefour in Qatar.
