Gaonchips opens corporation in Silicon Valley

South Korea’s Gaonchips Co. announced on Friday that it opened its new overseas corporation Gaonchips America Inc. in Silicon Valley, the US.

It’s the second overseas corporation of the company after the Japanese subsidiary in 2022.

The US semiconductor sector, accounting for over 50% of the global system semiconductor market share, is recognized as a pivotal hub for innovation and development in the industry.

Gaonchips aims to leverage its expertise in ultra-fine process design technology, honed through its partnership with Samsung Foundry and Arm, to make a significant impact on the US market.

The company's focus on the rapidly expanding AI sector aligns with its strategy to enhance profitability and respond to the evolving demands of the industry.

The establishment of Gaonchips America will serve as a key platform for the company to engage with local customers, develop robust sales strategies, and gain insights into the latest technology trends in the US semiconductor industry.

This strategic move is expected to strengthen Gaonchips' global network and elevate its competitive edge.
