South Korea’s largest investment forum Korea Investment Week 2024 (KIW 2024) will kick off next month in Seoul, drawing around 150 leaders from the global artificial intelligence, semiconductor, batteries, bio, robotics, cosmetics and other fast-growing industries.
The Korea Economic Daily will host the event jointly with Mirae Asset Securities Co. and the Korea Exchange (KRX) from Sept. 9 to 12 at the Conrad Seoul Hotel.
On the first day of the forum, Korea’s Deputy Prime Minister Choi Sang-mok will deliver a keynote speech on the government policy to boost Korean stocks.
With a theme of AI-led innovation, LS Electric Co. President Oh Jae-Seok, Hyundai Motor Co. Senior Vice President Kim Chang-Hwan and Samsung Electronics Co. Executive Vice President Bae Yongcheol will share their insights and industry outlooks.

On the second day, the forum will cover the deep tech, entertainment and financial sectors.
Fintech app Toss operator Viva Republica CEO Lee Seung-gun will deliver a keynote speech on the Korean digital financial market. K-pop powerhouse HYBE Co. Chief Strategy Officer Lee Jae-sang will speak on entertainment business trends and strategies.
Mirae Asset Capital Markets India’s Chief Business Officer Arun Chaudhry and S&P Global Inc.’s Korea office head Kim Beomsuk will share their views on the Indian financial market and global exchange-traded funds (ETFs), respectively.
The event will expand to the biopharmaceuticals, defense and space sectors on the third day. Drug conglomerate Celltrion Inc. Chair Seo JungJin and Hanwha Aerospace Co. customer relationship management (CRM) vice head Ryu Young-gwan will speak on the Korean biotech and defense industries, respectively.
The forum will focus on blockchain and digital assets on its last day.
Venture capital firm Hashed CEO Kim Seojoon will give a keynote presentation on the Korean digital asset scene. Dunamu Inc. investors protection center head Lee Haeboong and Wavebridge Chief Global Strategy Officer Lee Taeyong will deliver speeches on investor protection policies and global bitcoin ETFs, respectively.
Event registration is available on the official website (kiw2024.kr) with a 20% discount on the ticket price for those who register by 6 p.m. on Aug. 22 local time in Seoul.
