K-pop girl group Blackpink's "How You Like That" video has surpassed 1.3 billion views on YouTube, YG Entertainment Inc., the agency representing the group, said on Friday.
This video exceeded 1.3 billion views at 7:30 am (Korea time) on the same day. This is the first time in about two years and six months since its release in July 2020, and it is the first and highest number of views in K-pop as a choreographed song video.
"How You Like That" is a song with a message not to give in and jump beyond it in any situation, and won the Song of The Summer Award at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards in the US. It also rose to the No. 1 position on YouTube's Global Top Summer Song.
It also achieved success in the global market, ranking 33rd on the US Billboard's main single chart Hot 100.
With this, Blackpink has four of the 37 YouTube videos with over 1.3 billion views, including the latest one.
Blackpink is now on the largest world tour ever for a K-pop girl group, attracting 1.5 million spectators in 14 cities in North America and Europe. Following the tours,, they plan to meet fans in Asia and Oceania next year.
