Korea Investment & Securities Co. announced on Friday it has signed a strategic partnership with Carlyle Group, one of the world's leading private equity fund management companies. Carlyle Group manages a total of $385 billion in assets globally.
Through this partnership, Korea Investment & Securities has committed to invest a total of $300 million in Carlyle's funds and has secured opportunities to obtain approximately $4 billion worth of overseas credit products annually.
"By leveraging Carlyle's network, we expect to strengthen our competitiveness in international markets and enhance our capabilities, such as establishing a pipeline for retail product development and expanding channels for overseas investment bank transactions," CEO of Korea Investment & Securities Jung Il-moon said.
