
Korea Investment Corporation
KIC is South Korea’s sovereign wealth fund and manages foreign currency assets entrusted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Bank of Korea. It manages $180 billion as of June 2023. The fund aims to raise exposure to alternative assets to 22-28% by 2026. Private equity and private debt account for 30-35% and 9-13% of the alternative assets, respectively. Real estate and infrastructure make up 20-25% and 15-20%, respectively.
