Lee Kyu-hong Chief Investment Officer ,Teachers' Pension
He resigned from CIO in September 2023 Lee started his financial career by taking both sell-side and buy-side analyst roles. He has held multiple CIO roles at numerous asset management firms, during which he has accumulated broad experience in the traditional investment sectors such as stocks, bonds, quant trading (e.g. smart beta), multi-asset investing, as well as alternative sectors including real estate, infrastructure, PE and VC. Lee has been the CIO at Teachers’ Pension since October 2019. "The US will account for 60% of our new overseas alternative investments. There will be plenty of investment opportunities in the infrastructure and real estate sectors in the US and other developed countries," he said in an interview with The Korea Economic Daily in November 2021. The pension fund aims to increase the overseas alternative asset proportion to 21% of its AUM by the end-2025.
