Hyundai Motor Group will use US chipmaker Nvidia Corp.’s in-vehicle information and entertainment system for its entire fleet of Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Motors Corp. models, as well as its standalone luxury brand Genesis, from 2022.
The automotive group said on Nov. 10 that both sides have also agreed to expand cooperation in the development of connected car technology.
Under the latest deal, the South Korean automaker will adopt the Nvidia Drive connected car platform in all its future cars.

Hyundai Motor added that Nvidia Drive's software can be “perpetually” updated, giving vehicles the latest AI cockpit features.
“At Hyundai Motor Group, we’re committed to delivering greater value, safety, functionality and enjoyment over the lifetime of the car,” Paul Choo, senior vice president of Hyundai’s electronics tech division, said in a statement.
Hyundai Motor Group has been working with Nvidia, the global leader in the graphics processing unit (GPU) market, since 2015, and has already been using its drive platform in the Genesis GV80 SUV and the G80 sedan launched earlier this year.
The companies have also been collaborating to develop an advanced digital cockpit for future apps and features to be released in late 2021, it said.
