Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Tuesday that it will showcase Samsung HealthStack ver. 1.0 at the "2023 HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition" in Chicago, which runs until Apr. 21.
Samsung HealthStack ver. 1.0 is an open-source project that supports digital health technology research and development (R&D) using Android-based wearable devices by Samsung Electronics.
Any companies and healthcare service providers that utilize wearable devices for digital healthcare R&D can use it. Prior to its official release in June this year, Samsung Electronics will set up a booth at the event to showcase mobile apps and research management tools developed using HealthStack.
The company explained that using HealthStack can reduce the time required to develop solutions or apps, and securely manage data during the R&D process.
Yoon Soo Lee, head of Samsung Research's Data Intelligence Team responsible for developing Samsung HealthStack, said, "We will expand our collaboration in the future to contribute to the expansion of the global digital health ecosystem" and expressed hope that developers in related fields would actively use Samsung HealthStack.
