Hyundai Motor Group’s autonomous driving technology arm 42dot Inc. has joined hands with its sister companies Hyundai Glovis Co. and Hyundai Commercial Inc. to develop logistics solutions for commercially available future mobility vehicles, the automotive group said on Wednesday.
They will harness 42dot’s software technology, Hyundai Glovis’ supply chain know-how and Hyundai Commercial’s financial expertise to offer logistics services throughout the supply chain process from storage to delivery, as well as financing.
Hyundai Commercial is a car leasing company that offers installment financing for rent and purchases.
“We will automate logistics services that satisfy car owners, transportation and freight companies,” said Song Chang-hyeon, chief executive of 42dot. “As a global software company, we will support the growth of our group’s logistics business."
42dot is leading Hyundai Motor Group’s future mobility software development as the group aims to transform all the models to be produced by Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Corp. into software-defined vehicles by 2025.
Hyundai Card Co., under the automotive group, will join their alliance later on to offer settlement services for future mobility vehicles.
