Bespin Global to work with GBike for smart mobility business in Vietnam

Bespin Global, a cloud delivery platform company based in South Korea, announced on Thursday that it had partnered with GBike, a micromobility tech startup, to promote a public electric bicycle project called "Green Bike with Vietnam."

The project aims to introduce GBike's micromobility sharing services, such as electric kickboards and bikes, to small cities in Vietnam through the "Smart City Integrated Data Management Platform," which is jointly developed and operated by Bespin Global's Vietnamese subsidiary and Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co.'s local subsidiary, THT Development.

The project also plans to integrate with the payment system of the Vietnamese fintech unicorn, Momo.

Currently, GBike provides its "Gcoo" electric bike-sharing service in major cities in Korea, the United States and Thailand.

GBike's CEO, Yoon Jong-soo, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating that the collaboration would create a sustainable and eco-friendly short-distance transportation-sharing service that would be vital to Vietnam's smart city vision.

Kim Tae-ho, head of Bespin Global Vietnam, added that the partnership with digital native startups would establish a real smart city, and that they aimed to take the lead in startups entering the global market by creating robust business models.
