South Korea’s food and beverage company Paldo is strengthening its competitiveness in the Philippine market.
Paldo announced on Thursday that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Philippine distribution companies S&R Membership Shopping and Puregold Price Club to promote the sales of Paldo products and expand distribution channels.
Paldo will launch products such as Paldo Bibimmyeon (spicy noodles) and Pororo drinks in S&R and Puregold stores and undertake joint promotional activities.
S&R is the operator of the No. 1 warehouse discount store in the Philippines, running 26 stores. Puregold is one of the top three retail channels in the Philippines, with 283 hypermarkets and 101 supermarkets.
Paldo entered the Philippines in 2006 and has been increasing brand awareness, focusing on overseas-only Cheese Ramyeon and children's beverages.
