South Korean food giant CJ CheilJedang Corp. introduced a business-to-business (B2B) section CJ The Market for Biz on its e-commerce website CJ The Mall on Friday, targeting small business owners.
Members can purchase specialized food ingredients such as sugar, flour, and sauces, as well as side dishes like dumplings and chicken from CJ CheilJedang.
The service is designed for self-employed entrepreneurs and small businesses in the food industry who register as business members through business registration number authentication.
Food companies are strengthening their online services, like self-owned malls, in response to the increased market dominance of retail companies amid the COVID-19 pandemic to retain control over business operations through direct-to-customer channels.
