Canada's No. 1 coffee chain Tim Hortons revealed plans on Tuesday to establish its first South Korean flagship store at the bustling intersection of Sinsa-dong in Seoul.
The flagship store will be housed in the Urban Hive building. It will occupy a 335-square-meter retail space.
The work is set to commence immediately, with the installation of external hoardings around the building's exterior and first-floor area.
Founded in Canada in 1964, Tim Hortons has expanded its footprint to over 5,600 stores across 16 countries globally.
South Korea marks the seventh Asian market for the brand, following establishments in China, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore.
"We are thrilled to enter the Korean market, where per capita coffee consumption is nearly triple the global average," said Rafael Odorizzi, APAC President of Restaurant Brands International (RBI) Group, which owns Tim Hortons.
