South Korea's Kakao Entertainment Corp., a unit of mobile platform giant Kakao Corp., partnered with the renowned US music magazine Billboard on Wednesday to find more effective ways to promote K-pop in the global market.
Under the partnership, Kakao Entertainment and Billboard will introduce K-pop and related content worldwide.
Both sides will collaborate on marketing and promotions related to the global activities of K-pop artists.
They also plan to unveil new business models related to K-pop.
Since announcing the launch of Billboard Korea with the inaugural issue in June, Billboard has been expanding its connections with domestic companies after officially entering the South Korean market.
The day before, Billboard also signed a business agreement with Naver Pay to collaborate on various projects combining entertainment and easy payment services.
