CJ ENM launches AI sound source service

South Korean entertainment giant CJ ENM Co. introduced "Viodio: CJ ENM Air," an AI sound source service that makes it easy to utilize AI-generated music.

This service allows users to find and use AI-generated music with simple keyword searches based on categories such as mood, theme, genre and more. Creators can also compose or arrange AI music directly, making it highly versatile.

Viodio is a platform developed by AI technology company Pozalabs, in which CJ ENM has invested, becoming the second-largest shareholder.

AI-generated music created by CJ ENM employees is stored in a database and can be listened to and reused at any time. This is expected to increase the diversity of AI music, significantly reducing content production time and costs while eliminating copyright issues, thus enhancing global content distribution competitiveness.

The service will operate in beta version until the end of the year, gathering feedback from creators, and will be officially launched early next year after further refinement.

"Utilizing AI music is expected to enhance creators' creative autonomy and secure differentiated production competitiveness. We have plans to use AI technology throughout the content production process to increase efficiency and secure high-quality content," a CJ ENM source said.

The company aims to strengthen its competitive edge in content across various fields, from content planning to distribution and marketing, by leveraging AI. It is actively exploring AI-related new businesses and continues to invest in technology companies to achieve this goal.
