This marks its largest US project to date.
With this project, Taihan Cable & Solution has recorded about 200 billion won ($148 million) in cumulative orders in the US for this year alone.
This achievement has reached half of the highest annual cumulative orders of approximately 400 billion won made in 2022, within just the first quarter after entering the US market.
The project involves replacing outdated power networks with new ones in the Southeastern region of the US, specifically in Florida, to accommodate the increasing power demand.
Taihan Cable & Solution will remove existing cables and supply a 230-kilovolt (kV) ultra-high voltage power network on a full turnkey basis.
A full turnkey project encompasses everything from power network design, cable and accessory production, electrical work, and civil engineering, to testing, demanding high technical expertise and project management skills.
The company credits its success in securing this project to its proven capabilities in executing various projects in the US and proposing new solutions for replacing outdated power networks.
Further orders are anticipated as over 50% of the US's transmission power networks have exceeded their 40-year lifespan, necessitating replacements.
