SK Ecoengineering Co., a South Korean engineering company specializing in environmental and energy projects, said on Thursday that it has launched a marketing platform service that integrates distributed cogeneration solution packages, technical information and consulting services for industrial energy customers.
The company has collaborated with Wartsila Corp., a leading Finnish power cycle equipment company, to create a new business model that aims to help industrial energy sites based on fossil fuels such as coal and bunker C oil reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and power consumption by converting to small-scale cogeneration plants running on hydrogen blending.
The platform allows users to enter simple information about their sites’ current energy status and receive simulation reports that show the expected benefits of introducing the solutions, such as greenhouse gas reduction and energy efficiency.
SK Ecoengineering also provides comprehensive services across all areas of business such as licensing, design, construction and maintenance based on its engineering-procurement-construction (EPC) capabilities and know-how.
