Hyosung TNC Corp., a South Korean textile and yarn maker, has unveiled garments made of eco-friendly polyester yarn extracted from recycled PET bottles in Seoul.
The textile unit of Hyosung Group said on Mar. 10 that it is selling “Love Seoul,” clothes under the eco-friendly garment brand Regen Seoul in partnership with the Seoul city government.

The first Love Seoul products – hoodies, sweatpants and shorts – will be available at local eco-fashion retailer Pleatsmama Co. and The Hyundai Seoul (Hyundai Department Store) from Wednesday.
Under the partnership with the Seoul city government signed in January, Hyosung is producing recycled polyester under the Regen Seoul brand.
The company plans to manufacture 100 tons of Regen Seoul polyester by the end of the first half.

Hyosung TNC, the world’s largest spandex manufacturer, has been accelerating its entry into the global eco-friendly market as demand for such products rises among businesses looking to boost their enterprise value as a “green company.”
Last month, the company launched its own eco-friendly clothing brand G3H10.
